Philosophy

The body is connected to the brain, hence the saying; healthy body healthy mind. The opposite is true too; healthy mindset means it’s much more likely for you to achieve optimum health and longevity. We all come in different shapes, sizes and ages so it’s important to clarify that, by health, we don’t all need to run marathons or compete in ‘cross fit’ competitions. However, we can all start now and make real changes to the quality of our lives through looking after ourselves better and embracing some simple principles and techniques.

Just as we use terms such as ‘junk food’ to describe certain foods that we believe are harmful to us if we over consume them, the same can be said about what our minds consume. We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with data and noise such as reality TV, celebrity magazines and social media. It is very easy to get caught up in this and compare our selves unfavourably with other people. These comparisons may lead us to set ourselves unrealistic goals, which is one common cause of unhappiness and lack of fulfillment in people today.

Nick Nicholson

nick 01Nick was born and brought up in the North-East of England, the middle son in a family of three brothers. He remembers being in trouble in secondary school for running a book on the World Snooker Championship

At the age of eighteen Nick moved to South Africa to work in his uncle’s business and a year later he set up his own company buying and selling land. In 1990 Nick returned to England and studied for a degree in Finance at UWE Bristol.

He started working in the dealing room of a major international Investment Bank in 1994. After rising to the top of his profession and feeling wholly unfulfilled Nick decided to retire and change direction. In 2007 he founded a charity linking UK schools with schools in Africa. As well as his experience in Finance and Philanthropy, Nick has also had extensive business experience in a variety of different sectors.

In 2008 he became aware of Byron Katy’s work and embarked on his own voyage of self-discovery, which has included receiving mentoring from world renowned coach Ali Campbell. In addition he has received personal coaching from Dr Richard Bandler, the father of NLP

Nick has studied NLP, life coaching, hypnosis and nutrition. He believes his new perspective on his former career as a dealer has given him insights into achieving greater self-fulfillment- which are worth sharing – hence the birth of LIVING UNLIMITED.

Nick’s interests include health/fitness, travel, sport, social entrepreneurship and learning. Nick is most passionate about working with people who want to make a difference and who want to help other people.
